ECRI names new Chief Financial Officer Indrani Egleston

ECRI, an independent patient safety nonprofit that advances effective, evidence-based healthcare globally, has named Indrani Egleston its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ms. Egleston has over 25 years of experience in financial and strategic management across several financial disciplines, including internal audit, controlling, mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, and investor relations.

Her experience spans multiple industries with her most recent CFO roles in healthcare for Centerline Biomedical, a medical device company, and Signature Health, a federally qualified health center. Ms. Egleston has held advancing financial leadership positions at large public companies, including Covia Corporation (formerly Fairmount Santrol) and Nordson Corporation. She began her career in public accounting at PWC.

“We are thrilled to welcome Indrani Egleston as our new CFO,” said Marcus Schabacker, MD, PhD, President and CEO at ECRI. “Her extensive financial expertise across diverse sectors will be invaluable in helping us achieve our mission of advancing evidence-based healthcare worldwide. Her most recent experience in the healthcare industry gives her a deep understanding of navigating the challenges some of our clients and partners face in delivering safe, high-quality, efficient care in today’s complex environment.”

“I am proud to join the ‘most trusted voice in healthcare’ to enhance our healthcare ecosystem,” said Indrani Egleston. “ECRI is committed to improving care through system-design, data analytics, cultural transformation for the workforce, and rigorous testing of medical devices and health technologies. I’m honored to be part of the global team driving this forward.”

Ms. Egleston holds a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. Over the last several years, ECRI has strategically grown through targeted acquisitions that advance its mission. ECRI acquired The Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) in 2020 to address one of the most prolific causes of preventable harm in healthcare, medication errors; then acquired The Just Culture Company in 2024 to transform healthcare workplace cultures – thus creating one of the largest healthcare quality and safety entities in the world. ECRI operates locations in the U.S., Netherlands, United Kingdom, Malaysia, UAE, and Canada.
